1.Who we are
Lifeline Technology, based in Bhutan, is the provider of the Service and the data controller for the account and usage information described below. For the business data you enter about your own customers, you are the controller and we act as your processor (see section 4).
2.Information we collect
Registration & account information
- Business/shop name, chosen subdomain, slogan, and logo;
- Contact person name, email address, phone/fax, and business address;
- Tax identifiers (e.g. TPN/GST number) and any bank name / account number you provide for billing display;
- Login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes).
Billing information
- Plan, invoices, amounts, billing periods, and payment status. We do not collect or store card numbers or online-banking credentials; payments are made directly to our bank account.
Usage & technical information
- Log data such as IP address, timestamps, and actions taken in the Service and the admin portal;
- Session cookies needed to keep you signed in.
Customer Data
- The business records you enter into the Service — items, sales, purchases, suppliers, and any information you choose to record about your own customers. This is stored in your shop's own database.
3.How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and support the Service and provision your shop;
- To review and approve shop registrations and verify email addresses;
- To bill you, manage subscriptions, and enforce non-payment suspension;
- To send service and transactional messages (e.g. verification, approval, billing notices) where email is enabled;
- To back up data, investigate incidents, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or your Customer Data.
4.Your shop's own customers
Where you record information about your own customers in the Service, you are responsible for how that data is collected and used, including providing any notices and obtaining any consents required by law. We process it only on your behalf to provide the Service, under our Terms. Requests from your customers about their data should be directed to you; if we receive one, we will refer it to you unless the law requires otherwise.
5.Sharing & disclosure
We share information only:
- with service providers (e.g. hosting, email delivery, backups) who process it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations;
- where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, including lawful requests from government authorities;
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of Lifeline Technology, our customers, or the public;
- in connection with a business transfer (e.g. merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.
Tenant databases are kept logically separate; we do not disclose one shop's data to another.
6.Administrative & support access
Our authorised personnel may access your shop's data — including, where necessary, by signing in to your shop with administrative rights — strictly for provisioning, support and troubleshooting, billing administration, security investigation, and maintenance. Such administrative access is recorded in an audit log. We do not access your Customer Data for any other purpose.
7.Storage & security
- Each shop's data is stored in its own database, isolated from other tenants, on servers operated by us or by our hosting providers, which may be located inside or outside Bhutan;
- Passwords are stored as salted one-way hashes and are never stored in plain text;
- We take regular backups and apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards;
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach materially affecting your data, we will take reasonable steps to inform you and to contain it.
8.Data retention
We retain account, billing, and Customer Data for as long as your shop is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and operational requirements. When a shop is closed or terminated, we normally retain its database for at least thirty (30) days, after which it may be permanently deleted; residual copies cycle out of backups over a further limited period. Billing and accounting records may be kept longer where the law requires. Abandoned, unverified registrations are pruned automatically. You are responsible for exporting any data you wish to keep before closure.
9.Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may ask questions about how we handle it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. Some data may be retained where we have a legal basis or obligation to keep it.
10.Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from working.
11.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be made available through the Service.
